The world's first 50MW/100MWh digital energy storage power station has successfully passed acceptance testing at the No. 2 site of the Three Gorges Ulanqab New Generation Grid-Friendly Green Power Station in Inner Mongolia, China, supported by Envicool BattCool energy storage container air conditioning systems.
This digital energy storage power station comprises three core parts: a digital energy exchange system, a digital energy storage integration system, and an energy management and intelligent O&M platform. It consists of 46 energy storage containers with a capacity of 1.075MW/2.15MWh, making it the world's largest digital energy storage power station in terms of capacity.

A digital energy storage power station is a new type of energy storage facility that uses digital technology to store and manage electrical energy. Through millisecond-level digital energy exchange devices and intelligent battery network reconfiguration algorithms, the power station replaces the fixed series-parallel battery connections of traditional systems with a digital, flexible, and dynamically reconfigurable battery network, strongly supporting the large-scale application of low-cost, long-life, and high-security digital energy storage technology.
In terms of thermal management, the project deploys Envicool BattCool energy storage container air conditioners to comprehensively improve heat dissipation, minimize temperature differentials between cells, and ensure the safety, stability, and operational reliability of the station's intelligent control systems.

✅ High Adaptability: The integrated design and top-air supply structure allow for easy installation and rapid cooling. Its ultra-wide operating temperature range ensures compatibility with a wide range of energy storage environments and grid system requirements.

Since its grid connection in June 2024, the digital energy storage power station has been operating stably for over a year. Thanks to the optimized architecture of the digital energy storage system and the effective thermal management provided by the BattCool system, the temperature and temperature difference of the battery clusters have remained within safe thresholds throughout this 13-month period, laying a solid foundation for extending the overall cycle life of the power station.
